Third win in a row for Ford Fiesta R2 in Latvia

The Ford Fiesta R2 continued its domination of the Latvian Rally Championship 2WD class by claiming its third victory in a row on Round three of the National Championship - Rally Talsi. The top honors in the 2WD class were taken by 17-year-old Ralfs Sirmacis and co-driver Maris Kulss. The Fiesta R2 occupied three of the top Four 2WD places on the event and locked out the podium in the R2 category.

Larsen impresses on Rally Sørland to take championship lead

It was a dream start for Frank Tore Larsen and co-driver Torstein Eriksen as they debuted for Adapta Motorsport at the 2012 NM Rally Sørland this weekend. The duo, who hail from Steinberg in Buskerud, showed some impressive speed to outshine their championship rivals and assume the lead in the Norwegian Cup.

Perfection on the Pirelli as Cotton tames 'Killer Kielder'

British Rally Championship star Matt Cotton banished the memories of his 2008 crash when he finished a creditable 13th overall and 2nd in class on last weekend's Pirelli International Rally.  Partnered by co-driver Glyn Thomas, the rapid Cornishman from St Teath endured a hard fought battle with AVS Motorsport team mate Gethin Jones throughout the 96 competitive stage miles in Cumbria to lose out on a win by a scant 8.1 seconds at the finish.

Evans makes it three out of three to lead BRC

Elfyn Evans made it three wins out of three as the Fiesta SportTrophy (FST) travelled north for the Pirelli International Rally this weekend. A fantastic achievement, the young Welshman now leads the British Rally Championship (BRC) in the R2 specification Ford Fiesta.

The event also played host to the Fiesta SportChallenge (FSC) as Tony Simpson secured his second victory to extend his lead in the one-make series.

Haigh-Smith joins FIA WRC Academy

As the latest recruits to the FIA WRC Academy, South African Ashley Haigh-Smith and Welsh co-driver Craig Parry will be looking for a strong result as they join the one-make series from the Acropolis Rally onwards next month.
